Sri Kalabhairaveshwara Swamy

Lord Bhairav is considered to be the fierce manifestation of Lord Shiva associated with annihilation. Bhairava himself has eight manifestations: Kala Bhairava, Asitanga Bhairava, Samhara Bhairava, Ruru Bhairava, Krodha Bhairava, Kapala Bhairava, Rudra Bhirava and Unmatta Bhairava. Kalabhairava is the Lord of the March of Time.

Chikkarasinakere Basava

Chikkarasinakere is renowned for the holy bull of the Bhairaveshwara Temple. Devotees of this bull believe that it cures illness, settles disputes, identifies thieves from among suspects, etc. Being an agnostic and an eyewitness to the above actions, I was mesmerised. There is more to it than what we all believe we know. (This is a later addition. Five yrs ago i was a atheist... Eventually certain circumstances made me agnostic... Now I am a firm believer that a force exists..Thank u Lord Shiva, Sri KalaBhyrava and beloved Basappa for all the blessings u have bestowed on me.)

“C.A.Kere, under the Aegies of Basappa, will become the Kasi of south India
in future”- Dr.Veerendra Heggade.

“Never before in the spiritual world, the walking Bull was heard of which
has created many miracles, understood the spoken language of people and
solved the problems of its devotees”- The Hindu
